Fault in temperature control program

With a limited number of Miele vented tumble dryers manufactured between 11 November 1998 and 15 June 1999, under certain installation and connection circumstances, a situation can arise where activation of the temperature limiter (safety thermostat) is delayed. This could possibly lead to the washing catching fire, and further damage cannot be ruled out.

Miele is calling on all owners of vented tumble dryers with serial numbers 00/30 67 67 69 to 00/30 86 80 51 not to operate the appliances until they have been modified by an engineer. Correction of the fault is very easy and will be carried out free of charge.

To enable us to confirm whether your appliance requires modification, please call the free Helpline on 0500 115 225 during the following times: 8am to 9pm weekdays - 8am to 8pm weekends and provide the following information:

Model number
Serial number

The serial number is found on the data plate beneath the drum opening which is visible when the door is open. We will also require your daytime telephone number(s) and the most convenient contact times so that an engineer can contact you to arrange a visit.
