Despite rigorous quality control procedures it has been brought to ASDA's attention that there may be a problem with microwave reheating of the above products due to a packaging fault.
In a limited number of cases the plastic packaging has been found to ignite during reheating. As a precaution ASDA is recalling these products and has taken them off sale.
These are "snackpot"-style products in black plastic pots with a coloured outer-sleeve found in the chilled food cabinets. These products were on sale in all 238 ASDA stores.
Any customer who has bought any of these products bearing the use-by-dates of up to and including 25 May 2000 should return them to the consumer service desk of an ASDA store for a full refund.
No other products currently on sale at ASDA are affected by this announcement.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
