Multivac Wet and Dry

Please note that there is currently only limited information for this safety notice.

A problem concerning the Flymo Multivac Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner (purchased since 01 January 1984 and the safety notice date). The problem concerns a mistake found in the internal wiring. The cleaner itself is not hazardous since it is 'double insulated'. However, there could be a danger if it is used in conjunction with a socket with a metal plate, i.e. those found in garages or sheds.

Flymo have placed warning advertisements in the national press, advising purchasers not to use the cleaner and to return a coupon so that a replacement cleaner can be sent to them. Flymo are contacting customers directly via guarantee cards.
