IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
MAINS LEAD ON TEFAL IRONS
The rubber mains lead (Suraflex) was developed to overcome the problems of kinking and chafing, and to limit the degradation which occurs with traditional braided cables.
As a responsible manufacturer, Tefal continuously monitor all their products. This has shown that the rubber mains leads fitted to some Tefal irons are still subject to wear and may fail without visible warning.
As a precautionary measure, we would like to contact the owners of all irons concerned. Please read carefully the following information.
If your iron has a smooth rubber lead, you should stop using your iron and refer to the illustration.
Make a note of the numbers that appear at A and B on the identification plate, and with this information to hand, call us free on 0800 525554, where our Customer Service Staff will advise you further. This is the only number on which we can help you.
The lines are open from 8am to 10pm. If they are busy please try later. You should also be ready to give us your postcode.
Irons with a cloth or braided lead are not affected, but we recommend that you check your cable from time to time to ensure it shows no sign of wear or damage.
