Safety notice.
Hotpoint has put a notice in the press to owners of its front-loading washing machine model numbers 9551, 9560 and 9561 with serial numbers starting with 20, 21 or 22 only, and delivered after 20th August 1987. Quality monitoring has shown that, under very unusual operating conditions, the door could be opened while the machine is in use.
To eliminate this risk, Hotpoint has already contacted most users and arranged to carry out a modification, free of charge, but anyone not contacted should ring their local Hotpoint Service Office or call 0800 0928100 and ask for Consumer Services.
