W H Smith has issued a press notice regarding the safety of their 25cm illuminated globe, worded as follows:
Customers are advised that there may be an electrical fault in the switch of the W H Smith 25cm Illuminated Globe, which is potentially dangerous.
If you have purchased this product from us at some time between Saturday 18th June 1988 and Saturday 21st January 1989, please return it to us and a refund of the purchase price will be offered.
We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience this may cause.
