Dave Bristow MSc MIFireE MCSFS MFireInv MIAAI APAEWE
Dave joined the Fire Service in 1993. Having served in a number of roles over the past 26 years, he is currently a temporary Group Manager, managing Service Delivery within Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, where he also leads a team of 13 Fire Investigation Officers. He is also an active member of the Yorkshire and Humber regional Fire Investigation team, who support the region at complex fire scenes.
Having completed Fire Investigation foundation training with Gardiners Associates, he has progressed his Fire Investigation career though to completing a MSc in Fire Scene Investigation in 2017. He is a member of the Institute of Fire engineers, the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences, the UK Association of Fire Investigators, the International Association of Arson Investigators and also holds the level 7 Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence. Dave is also currently a member of the Technical Assessment team for UKAS in relation to ISO 17020. Dave has experience of providing expert evidence in the Criminal Justice and Coronial Systems and leading investigative teams during multi-agency operations.
